Witness performances from Natasha Wilson (Soprano), Amitai Pati (Tenor), and James Harrison (Baritone) with accompanist Claire Caldwell in the Museum's stunning Grand Foyer as the museum comes alive with the sounds of Aotearoa.

A tangle of hair-brained schemes!

Brace yourselves for a constant eruption of giggles as some of NZ Opera’s talented young singers bring The Barber of Seville to life through song and dance! Sung in English and featuring five singers and a pianist, this is entertainment the whole family can enjoy.  

Workshop: Get a chance to learn and perform in a sing-a-long with NZ Opera - no singing experience necessary!

This year performances are ticketed. Tickets will be available on the 1st of each month and bookings are essential. Every person attending will require a ticket for entry, except children aged 23 months and under if seated on a parent’s or caregiver’s knee. Tickets for The Barber of Seville will be available to book from 9am, Wednesday 3 July 2019.

Egyptian Bass-Baritone Ashraf Sewailam will perform a recital at the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral in Christchurch on Sunday 4 August. The programme will also feature acclaimed local soprano Amanda Atlas, with both singers accompanied by New Zealand Opera’s Director of Music Wyn Davies.

While admission to the concert is free, audience members will be invited to make a donation to the Our People, Our City fund administered by Victim Support.
